Position: Release Manager Location: Beloit, WI or Chicago, IL prefer local candidates, but will consider remote (must be willing to go on-site for important meetings) Duration: 12+ month contract Required skills and experience Five (5) to seven (7) years of previous experience in release management or related field, such as project management, information systems operations, software development, or QA management Understanding a complex system of applications and coordinating dependencies between teams and systems for project or feature deliverables Understand environments and the impact of branches and code merges Familiarity with code management Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills Advanced written and verbal communication skills are a must Advanced organizational skills are a must Understanding of Agile and software development lifecycle Experience or formal training in Agile Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile methodologies is a plus Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required Ability to work some weeknights and weekends is required Nice to have: Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCS) desired, but not required Experience or knowledge of Change or Release Management audit processes / controls is desired, but not required (e.g. ISO; COBIT) Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM/ITIL) is a plus Experience or knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools and applications such as Teams, Skype, and Planner is a plus Experience with Azure DevOps (formerly TFS) or other Agile management tool is a plus Proficiency in planning, tracking, and managing projects in JIRA Keywords: quality analyst information technology golang Illinois Wisconsin |
