As the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, you will play a critical role in taking PODS services to market and engaging customers in our omni-channel environment. You will work in an agile environment on the Salesforce platform team, while interacting with senior stakeholders in Marketing and other business units. While high quality Salesforce Marketing Cloud technical skillsets are critical to this role, equally important are superb professional skills such as communication, attention to detail, risk management, collaboration, and on-time-delivery. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Support the implementation of CRM campaign initiatives utilizing the Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce.com tool sets Design and develop creative technical solutions in a transformational IT environment. Manage marketing automation tool enhancements and fixes. Drive excellence in leveraging the marketing automation best-in-class best in class customer experience Assist in the development and execution of multichannel customer journey initiatives by deriving insights from campaign analyses, data mining, web analytics, and test and learn initiatives to drive and optimize customer, acquisition, retention, personalization, and promotional strategies Engage with stakeholders in Marketing and other business units to understand their business and customer needs, and develop solutions accordingly Apply functional subject matter expertise to analyze business challenges Consult and assist stakeholders on the technical and business challenges related to their engagement initiatives Present high-level overviews of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture and integration capabilities Create, manage and present actionable solutions that align a client's business needs to that of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions Segment customers and implement journeys while gathering customer attributes from several sources to continuously optimize the contact profile Collect and present Campaign and Journey analytics, starting with e-mail sends and maturing to more nuanced metrics Identify system and project issues / risks and present alternatives to alleviate or resolve Manage and support users including training on data views and reporting Produce deliverables within a diverse, fast paced environment, collaborate effectively across global teams and juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Job is not directly responsible for direct report (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management) JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, Information Systems or related areas. Development skills including: JavaScript and/or AMPScript SQL SOAP and REST APIs Web/Email programming design with HTML4 and 5, CSS, and/or PHP 4 7 years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or other marketing automation tool) Demonstrates extensive knowledge and/or a proven record of success in the following areas: Strategic and technical thinking with the ability to consultatively engage with customers to quickly make complex decisions and lead customer facing discussions; Technical proficiency with Network Protocols and Services (DNS, HTTP, HTTPS); Web-based software solutions and familiarity with multi-tier, high availability application server environments and data architecture/schema.
