Position: Power BI Developer (C2C) Client: Wallenius Wilhemsen Preffered Location: New jersery Location: Parsippany, NJ candidate must come on-site at least once a week. Must have been an ETL Developer first then Power BI in the last 3 5 years. (or close to that type of background). Key Tasks / Description of role Responsible for hands-on development of Power BI reports and dashboards on a cloud native platform. Good hands on experience with development of data pipelines using ETL tools and related technologies Responsible for managing, optimizing, overseeing and monitoring data retrieval, storage and distribution of data. Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality Toggling use cases and ensure optimal reuse / simplification across projects Work with the Data Architects/Product Owner/Scrum Master with regards to sprint planning Nice to have: Help architects and analysts in finding trends in data sets and to help make raw data more useful to the enterprise. Required Experience and Qualifications Must have hands-on experience(7+yrs) with one or more BI tools, Power BI preferred. Nice to have (5+ years) hands on ETL development experience with one of the top ETL tools in industry (AWS Glue, ADF, Informatica, Abinitio, Data Stage, SSIS). Experience with source control systems like Git mandatory. Experience with Azure dev Ops or TFS is a plus. Expert in database query and tuning. Experience with MSFT tech stack is a plus Experience from various scripting languages/tools, data formats, networking concepts. Background in data management, data integration technologies and handling large volumes of data effectively mandatory. Experience from Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms . Good knowledge of various databases, data warehousing, modelling and mining.
