Job Title:  QA SDET

Location : Austin, TX or Westlake, TX  Hybrid 3 days a week in office (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)

Duration : 12 + Month

**Intake Notes**

- - Candidates local to Austin and Westlake ONLY for now.

- Onsite 3x a week (Tu, Wed, Thurs ideally but could be flexible on that)

- must be able to write code and not just testing

- .NET coding experience preferred (Java would also be OK)

- Automation testing is a required - Should have 6-7 years of exp coding and testing

Minimum Requirements and Wow Factors: 6-10 years experience; Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, 7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering, 5+ years of hands on experience automating build and release certification tasks as part of DevOps practices and behaviors, 5+ years of hands on testing experience in Business Process Management workflows, 6-7 years experience doing and testing 

WOW Factor: Acceptance test-driven development (ATDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin languages like Cucumber or SpecFlow is a plus

MUST HAVE: Expert in QA practices (black box testing, risk based testing, system testing, regression testing, exploratory testing practices),  Advanced technical competency in an OOP language such as C#.NET/Java or an expert in test automation tools preferably in a Java/Maven environment and the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Zephyr, Confluence), Selenium or other industry leading tool sets, 3+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture Quality Assurance, and thorough knowledge of testing API orchestration layers and Real-Time Messaging interfaces such as RabbitMQ,  3+ years of experience developing or testing applications on the PEGA platform, Experience in a regulatory environment (like Banking & Finance or Health care etc.)

What you have: Required:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field

7+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Engineering

5+ years of hands on experience automating build and release certification tasks as part of DevOps practices and behaviors

5+ years of hands on testing experience in Business Process Management workflows

Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Preferred

What youll do:

Provide accountability on the technical strategy for testing and quality assurance on mission critical enterprise applications

Develop and maintain enterprise scalable test automation frameworks

Evaluate new technology or processes to support sustainable, continuous test automation

Drive a continuous improvement mentality to deliver robust performance testing strategies and methods

Promote excellent development practices for coded test frameworks, to include participating in code reviews and source control management

Design test automation for web services, APIs, and web-based platforms

Partner with scrum team members to provide technical guidance on creating agile test automation solutions, accelerating Schwabs SDLC processes and meeting critical business objectives.

Maintain tools used in during test development including source control, test management and release systems

Mentor peers and staff on quality engineering, network with other automation teams within Schwab and derive automation best practices for continuous improvement.

Experience working with resources in different geographical locations and vendor partnerships
