Role: VB.NET Developer Location: Mc Lean, VA (Locals) Duration: Long Term Day one onsite Essential Skills Candidates should have 3-8 years work experience. Through experience with troubleshooting classic VB applications. Strong knowledge on building, integrating and deploying VB apps on local as well as on Citrix environments Knowledge on the configuration setting for the Infrastructure Components Database: Sybase, MSSQL, Oracle. Proficient in creating/enhancing complex database queries, stored procedures and functions. Code Repository TFS / GIT (Should be able to check in, check out, create baseline and promote code) Extensive experience in code coverage and unit testing methodologies and frameworks. Other Tools WinSCP and Putty (Basic UNIX commands) Excellent troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to create well documented code and documentation for team members and stakeholders Demonstrated ability and willingness to develop using a high-disciplined and structured approach ensuring long-term maintainability and re-usability Experience collaborating with designers and back-end engineers Experience working in an agile environment Solid understanding of web/usability/accessibility standards Ability to work in a team environment Good communication skills and interpersonal skills. Education : At least a bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required.
