Position: Enterprise Architect Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support current-state architecture discovery, environment assessment, and architecture mapping across complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing and documenting applications, infrastructure, integrations, data flows, business capabilities, and technology environments. Experience supporting M&A integrations, application rationalization, tenant consolidation, or large-scale transformation programs is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Conduct current-state architecture discovery and assessments across complex enterprise environments. Perform asset inventory and mapping across applications, infrastructure, integrations, platforms, and data. Develop application portfolio maps, integration diagrams, infrastructure views, and architecture artifacts. Map business processes, business capabilities, application dependencies, and data flows. Identify application and platform cost elements to support rationalization and consolidation decisions. Assess CI/CD pipelines and DevOps maturity where applicable. Define integration architecture patterns, dependencies, constraints, and risks. Utilize LeanIX or similar Enterprise Architecture tools to document, analyze, and communicate findings. Collaborate with engineering, business, architecture, and program teams to support integration and transformation planning. Translate complex technical environments into clear, decision-ready architecture views and recommendations. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in complex enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with current-state discovery, architecture assessment, and environment mapping. Experience with: Application Portfolio Mapping Application Inventory & Rationalization Infrastructure & Hosting Environments System Integrations & Interfaces Data Flows & Dependencies Business Process & Capability Mapping Hands-on experience with LeanIX preferred. Experience with comparable EA tools such as Ardoq, Bizzdesign, MEGA HOPEX, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar is acceptable. Ability to rapidly analyze complex environments and produce architecture documentation and visualizations. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with M&A integration programs, acquisitions, mergers, or divestitures. Experience with large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives. Application portfolio rationalization and technology consolidation experience. Tenant consolidation or platform consolidation experience. Experience assessing DevOps / CI-CD maturity. Experience working across multiple business units, applications, platforms, and technology domains.
