Title: Mainframe Developer with CICS and Web Services Programming exp Work Location: Los Angeles, CA (locals Preferred)- Onsite from Day 1 Duration: 12+ months contract Note: I need someone who has experience specifically with CICS and Web Services Programming Job Description: Responsibilities Provide technical expertise within an assigned business unit/area, usually as a member of a project team, in analysis, design, and development of business applications. Provide technical consulting support on projects or system issues. Develop business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other IT departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Collect and analyze business requirements for projects. Perform feasibility studies and translate requirements into an appropriate design. Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions. Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties). Requirements Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in development. Good Knowledge and hands-on experience in a Mainframe technology like DB2, Cobol, SQL, CICS, VSAM Financial & Revenue domain Experience Leadership and Project Management Skills. Ability to multi-tasks (multiple projects) Ability to work with teams and work independently Proficiency in the understanding of the structure and deployment of IT & business systems, experience in the cruise industry preferred. Detail oriented, possess solid analytical, interpersonal, documentation, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with employees, management, and users. Ability to meet deadlines, independently lead an implementation team, and perform in an individual or team environment.
