This is an excellent chance to work in a large production scale environment while gaining exposure to multiple technologies. Candidates must be willing to participate in after hour production issue resolution. Some weekend Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity and go-live participation is also required. Project Details: Microsoft SQL Platform supporting the entire bank for 1000 databases, qa, production issues, etc. Supporting ALL LOBs across PNC -Foglight preferred -ServiceNow to receive tickets -Change implementations, problem & incident management Top 3 Required Skills: Mention the years of experience Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills 6 years min Must have experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups -5 years min Supporting production databases in large enterprise - 5 years min Key Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects at once Provide break/fix as well as proactive system support Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills Must have experience with SQL Profiler and setting up server-side traces Must have experience with SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups Familiar with industry best practice Backup & Recovery concepts Strong experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies Experience with DR/BC implementations spanning multiple production environments Installation/Upgrade experience up to SQL Server version 2019 Experience working with Azure SQL Cloud IaaS and/or PaaS Experience with Windows Clustering up to 2019 Experience with TDE Encryption Knowledge of storage system constructs and mount point configurations Working knowledge of Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of other tasks as defined by management Production Support with on-call rotation requirement Strong skills addressing production critical incidents Qualifications: Bachelors degree (Computer Science preferred) and/or equivalent experience 6+ years of SQL Server experience Work experience in large client server environments is a plus Experience with SQL Server on VMware is a plus Excellent communication skills, verbal and written This position is required to occasionally work non- traditional shifts Experience with ServiceNow and ITIL constructs are a strong plus MCDBA and any related certifications preferred Does this position require any degrees or certifications for the candidate to be successful Bachelors or equivalent exp Are there 2-3 screening questions that suppliers can ask prior to submittal and submit with the candidates resume that would provide insight on their fit for this role (these would not be managers interview questions and may not apply to all positions i.e., Non -IT) NA Role Differentiator: Describe what is different about this specific role compared to others hiring for the same skill set This is a great work environment with a smart team and caring people.
