Deep Subject matter expertise in Oracle 12C/19C Administration Oracle RAC, Performance tuning, Monitoring (OEM, Splunk, Prometheus), Capacity Planning, Query optimization Deep experience with databases hosted on AIX / Linux /is must. Experience and extensive exposure to OS and compute virtualization concepts is required. Strong knowledge of RMAN and other migration tool/utilities. Extensive experience with various DR and HA solutions/Architecture Be able to work independently and within a team in a high demand and dynamic environment Analyze and resolve problems involving interaction between applications, server hardware/firmware/OS and Database by working with cross functional teams and equipment vendors. Contribute to a variety of documentation such as strategies, plans, designs, configuration standards, metrics, etc. Responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to: Manage Oracle (RAC) databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations Solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end. Independently analyze Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement. Provide 24x5 support Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. Planning out strategies for DB migration, DB consolidation and driving it end to end. Provide a high level of technical expertise, advice and guidance on technology aspects of database and application delivery services to management and other technical staff. Participate in and contribute to Release activities including Spec reviews.
