Must pass fingerprint background check. The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) provides fiscal administration for Northwest Ohio Regional Information System (NORIS). NORIS serves as a centralized repository for criminal justice information in Northwest Ohio. NORIS provides criminal justice application design, development and support in addition to data integration and cross agency/jurisdiction workflow amongst the spectrum of criminal justice agencies. Northwest Ohio Regional Information System is looking for a programmer that has experience with the Uniface application development platform in addition to a solid understanding of relational database design. NORIS is willing to provide training to the selected candidate to further advance their knowledge of developing on the Uniface platform. In addition, certain modules of the various applications may also require experience in programming languages on the .NET platform; primarily C#. The qualified candidate must have the ability to problem solve, grasp new programming languages and communicate with staff and end-users effectively. Knowledge of all aspects of the life-cycle software development is a plus. Familiarity with report writing and/or business intelligence software a plus. Skills: Development and support of our existing applications on the Uniface platform. Experience writing stored procedures and transact-SQL. Experience working in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) a plus. Good communication skills both oral and written in English. Experience testing in production-critical environment with end-users is highly desirable.
