The Data Architect will consult key leaders and positions to uncover all the different data needs and sources used across the organization and build a strategy for data storage sustainability. The DA assess internal systems, needs and strategies to align needs with industry standards, sustainable principles, and best practices. Additionally, this role collaborates with external vendors to gather, cleanse, organize, and store the data required to achieve objectives. The warehouse will be the foundation for future data tools and the springboard for creative data analysis and business process automation solutions. Job duties and Responsibilities: Enterprise assessment of data, analytical, and visualization needs and gaps across departments to ensure product meets expectations of all corporate users. Conduct full technical discovery, identifying pain points, business, and technical requirements, as is and to be scenarios. Assessing and advocating data management technologies and practices eliminating gaps between the current state and a well-targeted future state Compare solution alternatives across both technical and business parameters which support the define cost and service requirements. Determining current data storage mechanisms to create a system to keep data secured and house company data Designing and building relational databases for data storage or processing. Developing strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition, and archive recovery Pulling data from disparate systems to aggregate into a sustainable, and secure central data warehouse(s) Building a reporting mechanism to pull data together on which to perform ETL Interpreting and delivering impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps Collaborating with client stakeholders to ensure data architecture recommendations maximize the value of client data across the organization Provide and recommend architecture solutions that are modern and sustainable, ensuring final design minimized obsolescence risks. Documenting and sharing project solutions and outcomes with colleagues to improve delivery on future projects Provide education, documentation, and strategies for continually incorporating new and emerging technologies/patterns/methodologies and market offerings Adapt existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems. Understand the strategic direction set by leadership team as it relates to functions goals.
