This project is to support the Datawarehouse migration to AWS Redshift. The contractor will look into Redshift workloads and tune them as needed for optimal performance. Overtime or after-hours support is not expected, but we may have to work offshore to hand it over. Job Description: Looking for an AWS Redshift DBA who will help with our Dataware house workload migration into AWS Redshift. This individual will have extensive, hands-on experience with database administration and Query Tuning. Responsibilities Experience: 8 to 10 years as a DBA that includes Database & Query, Performance Tuning Must have excellent Redshift experience along with DBA knowledge Optimizing and tuning the Redshift environment, including Cluster, Database & SQL queries Good knowledge of analyzing, explaining plans, and adjusting workloads to improve runtime Good understanding of Workload Management within Redshift, along with queue mgmt.
