Position: QA Lead(100% Remote Role) Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: This experienced software testing professional will be expected to perform a variety of quality assurance tasks to ensure that our testing practice is well defined, documented, and supports effective test/design/testing. The lead test engineer will be a hands-on lead and will work with a team of test engineers to design, author and execute tests. They will represent QA in grooming, planning and daily stand-up meetings. The most important skills needed for this role include: Strong QA/testing background with the ability to derive robust documentation of testing processes and procedures Organization and Management Skills - Ensuring visibility, traceability, and control of testing process to deliver high-quality software Solid communication (written and verbal) and team collaboration skills Experience working in an Agile testing environment including Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Jenkins / Git / Jira / Xray Automation excellent knowledge of test automation practices and test automation frameworks Java / Selenium / Cucumber / RestAssured Experience Requirement: -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field -Minimum of 10+ years of experience with software deployment testing -Minimum of 5+ years of experience with test process development, test case design, test procedure development, test execution, system evaluation and test reporting -Minimum of 5+ years of experience with automated test and test driven development concepts, tools, and languages (i.e. Java, Selenium) -Minimum of 5+ years of experience with defect tracking systems (i.e. Jira) -Minimum of 5+ years of experience with test management systems (i.e. Xray) Experience leading a group of test engineers. Nice to Have: -Experience with C# or Ruby -Agile certifications Key Responsibilities -Represent QA in Agile ceremonies such as grooming, planning, stand-ups, and the retrospective -Participate in QA activities such as designing, authoring test, creating test data, executing test cases, and automating tests -Review QA work items to ensure they adhere to standards and provide the appropriate coverage -Apply industry best practices, methodologies and knowledge of automated tools, frameworks and accelerators -Be skilled in the practical use of testing tools -Observe test activities, test results, defects, and root cause analysis -Work with leadership to identify continuous improvements of the testing methodology -Communicating effectively Preferred Qualifications -Advanced knowledge of test automation tools, frameworks, design approaches, and effective implementation techniques -Self-starter and quick study that can work independently and collaboratively -Strong communication & documentation skills - Ability to communicate and document status and complex issues effectively.
