Please let me know if you fine the new below position as well Role: Data Scientist Duration:6 Months Location:Remote Visa: NoCPT MOI: Skype This Data Scientist (Database Administrator)position is on the Data Modernization Team within the Center for Health Dataand Analysis and will focus on documenting data sharing policies, havingstandardized data structures, incorporate predictive analytics focus andcross-cutting insights. This position is responsible for the overall datamanagement, governance, architecture, and data science initiatives at RIDOH andwill develop and implement strategies for safe and efficient data sharing andutilization across RIDOH, and will leverage cutting edge data sciencepractices, including predictive analytics, to address cross-cutting datapriorities as identified in Department-wide design thinking sessions.Implementation of more efficient data exchange practices can reduceinefficiencies/redundancies and increase the quantity and quality ofcross-cutting analyses and insights that inform decision making. Functions/Duties Development and implementation of a data governance and data science plan across RIDOH. Collaborate with Data Modernization Team to work on goal setting, project conceptualization, workflow formulation, approaches to collaborate internal and external partners, including IT and Informatics, and facilitation of agency-wide workgroups. Perform a broad range of basic and advanced research machine learning, analytical, and statistical processes to support data driven decision making and evaluate various classification and regression algorithm for predictive analytics. Develop and implement training on data sharing processes (internal and external) Identify data sharing management tool to track row level data requests. Develop Department-wide standards for data integrity, data quality, data lineage and architecture.. Collaborate and develop a plan with internal and external partners to conduct assessments of optimal code base languages and code sharing at RIDOH. Assist with conducting assessment of needed data warehousing infrastructure. Identify data needs or leadership data objectives that can be addressed through data analysis and propose creative solutions and strategies to address business challenges. Identify use cases for predictive analytics in public health. Lead the entire data science project life cycle at all the phases including data extraction, data cleaning, statistical modeling and data visualization with large data sets of structured and unstructured data. Develop and implement a plan for increasing awareness and utilization of agile methodology and data science. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Experience working with Amazon Cloud and Web services infrastructure. Demonstrate understanding of extraction, preprocessing, engineering, and loading of data. Knowledge also in end-to-end data science projects Exploratory Data Analysis, Design, Test, and validation using Cross-Validation method and maintain machine learning based prediction models. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of audiences, such as department officials, academic partners, and community representatives. Strong interpersonal and cultural competency as well as strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to develop and effectively deliver presentations. Education and Experience Masters Degree in Public Health, Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, computer science or related Experience with data warehouse, data lakes and associated governance policies.
