Job Description Role: Network Test Engineer Location : Santa Clara or Menlo Park, CA Client: HCL Requirements Here we are looking for good candidate (6-10 years) with Networking Test case development and testing experience in 4G/5G areas. Candidates should have good working experience on VIAVIS TM500 UE simulator. Knowledge on TeraVM (Core Test) and RIC Test in 4G/5G areas will be added advantage. Candidate should also have working experience on ORAN network Test tools of companies like Spirent, Viavi, R&S, Keysight etc. Coding language knowhow in C#/Python will be an added advantage. Major Responsibilities Understanding clients internal processes and discuss how customer products can meet their needs Work closely with customers Engineering and Product Management teams, acting as an interface between the client and customer. Advocate for customers through a cross-functional organization Logging, investigation, and resolution of issues related to customers test and emulation equipment. Undertake Systems Engineering, debugging and diagnosis of issues on hardware and cloud-based platforms Support new product and features introduction Build and help maintain technical relationships with the end client Common TaaS Activities Test case creation/editing Running test cases and modifying test cases based on results Analyzing test results (logs) for metrics Deep analysis of logs for problem resolution Creating test case automation frameworks / integration with the clients automation framework Problem resolution the TM500 / TeraVM is part of a system and often it is not known what part of the system is causing issues. This is system level troubleshooting TM500, TeraVM debugging how to collect information to debug the failed test cases on TM500 +/ TeraVM Different approach for different test activities such as (but not limited to) o Feature specific testing Load testing Regression testing Stability testing Private and Public Cloud - AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP Mobile RAN knowledge - service procedures relating to UE, RAN and Core components Knowledge of O-RAN technologies would be advantageous.
