Role: Quality Assurance Lead Onsite Location: Parsippany, NJ Duration:12+ Months Client: UPS Job Description: The Quality Assurance Lead , acting in the role of Release Train Quality Engineer (RTQE), will be part of the Agile Release Train (ART) System Team, which is a specialized Agile Team that assists in building and supporting the Agile development environment, typically including development and maintenance of the toolchain that supports the Continuous Delivery Pipeline. The System Team may also support the integration of assets from Agile teams, perform end-to-end Solution testing where necessary, and assists with deployment and Release on Demand. The RTQE works with delivery teams within the ART to ensure that quality is built-in to all activities and creates a fast, flow-based system to quickly develop and release high-quality business capabilities. They work across delivery teams to plan and coordinate the execution of end-to-end solution testing, and ensures that the implemented quality approach follows best practices for agile teams and ARTs. Job Duties: Implements and Leads Built-In Quality Practices for the release train. Leads testing teams to implement efficient testing earlier in the release Drives the use of continuous delivery pipelines Ensures that delivery teams are reducing test suites in order to accelerate feedback Works with development resources to design systems for quality and ease testing Drives development resources to follow solid unit testing practices through test driven development and increased code coverage and code quality Leads teams to test against non-functional requirements Works with teams to continuously integrate the end-to-end solution Creates Solution End-to-End Test Plans and Coordinates Execution Leads test resources, testing assets (e.g., test labs, test environments, etc.), and testing artifacts (e.g., plans, designs, test data, specifications, etc.) across multiple delivery teams to ensure the end-to-end solution meets the quality objectives Reviews, contributes, and creates test plans, test strategy documentation, and project schedules to identify milestone activities Identifies test functions and required timelines to ensure proper utilization of test resources Collaborates on end-to-end test activities and multiple solutions to ensure project objectives are met Assesses solution quality and stability to ensure readiness for deployment Monitors and evaluates test progress and adjusts plans accordingly to ensure objectives and fast flow are achieved Displays ability to adjust plans, resulting from dynamic changes in projects and the business environment, to meet project deliverables Ensures continuous feedback of results and risks to verify quality objectives are met Escalates issues to the delivery team and key stakeholders to communicate status updates and to obtain resources for resolving issues Implements and Tracks Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) Related to Built-In Quality Analyzes and communicates tactical and strategic test metrics to key project stakeholders to provide visibility across the solution Conducts post-phase and project analyses to identify process improvements Utilizes defect tools to assess product quality, to communicate project status, and to identify project risks Leads Release Train Test Planning Engages at project inception to drive quality and to conduct initial test planning and estimation activities Provides solutions for continuous process improvement to increase efficiency and improve quality Provides test labor estimates to ensure adequate time and test resources are assigned to projects Identifies future test needs to ensure alignment with strategic plan Develops test strategies and plans for leveraging quality expertise to enhance team technical expertise and to support technologies Remains current with project activities to enable effective decision-making Executes test strategies and plans for larger or multiple projects and reviews project test plans to define how testing will be conducted Identifies test methods to be utilized to ensure proper test coverage Remains current in the utilization of innovative testing practices, test tools, and technologies to disseminate updated knowledge throughout the release train Identifies needs for new testing tools and allocates resources for the development of the tools to meet business objectives Skillset: Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Experience with Test Automation Tools, such as Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, and Gherkin Experience with Automated Pipeline approaches and tools, such as ADO Pipelines and Jenkins Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe Technical Knowledge of Hardware, Software, and Application Development Technologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor\\'s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience Mandatory Skills: Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps Experience with Test Automation Tools, such as Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, and Gherkin Experience with Automated Pipeline approaches and tools, such as ADO Pipelines and Jenkins Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SAFe Technical Knowledge of Hardware, Software, and Application Development Technologies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or the equivalent in education and work experience .
