QA Lab Technician 

(onsite in Dublin, OH, 

POS hardware & software systems testing/troubleshooting is a must). Just in case, including the JD below.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum 3+ years of experience working in Quick Service Restaurant industry supporting the NCR Aloha software.

Extensive knowledge on the Client/Client hardware to troubleshoot issues around the Aloha Point of sales systems, iOCD, Delphi OCD, Kiosk, Receipt printer, cash drawer, Kitchen terminals , Kiosk etc.

Have a good understanding of ecommerce applications and architecture to assist in troubleshooting issues.

Diagnosis and troubleshooting of Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems.

Familiar using the tool Jira and Cherwell to work on the QA lab tickets.

Having Aloha Knowledge is a huge plus.

Extensive knowledge on the payments architecture, setting up esockets and troubleshooting pinpads is required.

To manage and resolve systemic problems which may involve higher-touch or support expertise for RCA.

Advanced diagnosis and troubleshooting of connectivity and network issues in the lab.

An Individual who has excellent written and oral communication skills and is able to prioritize and to multi-task work.

Ability to work in a team and collaborate through direct communication, ticket notes, and documentation.

Maintain a good healthy relationship with other cross-functional support teams within other areas of IT.

Facilitate escalation of issues that cannot be completed within an agreed upon time frame and work with the SWAT team.

Ability to adapt to changing procedures, environments and equipment in the QA space.

Collaborative approach and open communication is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Analyst role is part of the QA team and works closely with the team providing day to day support fixing issues that arise in the QA lab.

They will be working on tickets created depending on the priority and criticality of the issue.

This role is also responsible for maintaining the QA lab hardware inventory.

To meet the continuously changing hardware requirement for testing this role will also be imaging and swapping the hardware like XE3 server, KC4 kitchen, 980 model POS etc.

This role should also be checking on the health of the QA lab devices on a daily basis and resolve any foreseen issues.

Ensure the QA lab devices are online in CMC (web service tool) to prevent any deployment delays.

Work closely with the Aloha, SWAT, Payments and Network team for any support needed to fix the QA lab issues.

Look for ways to improve the health of the lab and maintain a stable lab.

May also be responsible for building up new physical labs as needs arise.

This is an on-site role and the candidate is expected to be in the office during the normal working hours Mon Fri.
