POSITION SUMMARY:
 Responsible for providing day-to-day backend operational support for Epic and other clinical application environments. Provides technical assistance to analysts supporting applications and will serve as a technical liaison to the IS Infrastructure and E-Health teams. Maintains and documents existing and future environment configurations such as software and application updates and patches. Takes a lead or supporting role in upgrades by planning and performing assigned tasks, and will frequently manage or coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Assists with setting requirements and standards for the team, and actively coaches junior team members. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

Assists technology platform managers (Networking/Security and Infrastructure) and Senior EPIC Engineer with the coordinated design of elements (i.e. servers, storage, networking, devices) that cross IT technology areas in such examples as virtualization and the further integration of healthcare devices and applications.

Assures technology elements deployed by LG Health:

Are compatible with one another

Assists in maximizing the efficiency of technology OPEX and CAPEX resources

Represent consistent and future proof technology decisions

Accurately reflect business technology requirements

Partners with the IS Logistics Manager(s) on definition of project requirements for work to be performed by departmental resources.

Assists Technology Work Intake Coordinator(s) with due diligence and compliance with organization technology goals and requirements.

Provides additional subject matter expertise on individual element concerns, as needed.

Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with customers, team members and IS Division to ensure quality service.

Provides system administration and subject matter expertise as required for selected applications and systems.

Provides departmental status updates to senior leadership upon request.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree, preferably in a computer-related field.

Three (3) years of supporting or maintaining Epic application.

Three (3) years of providing direct Epic end-user support.

Three (3) years of application testing.

Certification in at least three (3) areas of the Epic environment

Demonstrated knowledge in the specific skill set areas for identified position in the Infrastructure Skill Set Matrix

Demonstrated organizational, project management and process improvement experience and training.

Significant diagnostic and logical analysis skills.

Firm understanding of networking, operating systems, storage, virtualization and other basic foundational IT skills.

Significant understanding of clinical and administrative applications and systems, and the interrelationship between them and their underlying support technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including interpretive communication skills to clearly understand and share information in a manner that is clear and concise to all parties involved.

Ability to forge consensus among differing groups and priorities.

Ability to adapt well to rapid change and multiple priorities.

The position requires much autonomy of thought and problem solving. The individual must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems.
