Position: Oracle PL SQL developer Location: Fully remote - must be okay with working west coast hours for some trainings early on and then ~1x a month for code deployments. Duration: 6+ months Job Description: A Senior Developer within Advisor Compensation Systems is responsible for hands on development and maintenance of advisor compensation systems. The role requires a mid-level resource with some Angular experience along with .Net and Oracle PL*SQL skills to support the back-end services and data. Also, the incumbent contributes to key development initiatives, leveraging both on and off shore developers, as a key support resource for on time and successful implementation of strategic enhancements to critical systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and collaborate with other teams (technical and non-technical) to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to SDLC processes including but not limited to Architects, Quality Assurance, Release Management, and the Change Control board. Responsible to enhance, maintain and support existing compensation applications and platforms Ensure solutions and platforms are designed with capability, scalability and sustainability Develop positive relationships with business partners to better understand their needs, manage expectations, and deliver value-add solutions Contribute to the team development efforts for successful project delivery, as well as application and platform support Qualifications: 5+ years of professional software development experience in a diverse set of technology disciplines. 3+ years experience with product development and architecture of software and applications and services. 3+ years of finance/accounting experience (brokerage firm experience a plus). Knowledge of Oracle PL*SQL Server development and database design. Familiarity with TFS source control or other code vaults for building processes and maintaining continuous delivery. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related field. Experience working with remote teams and offshore vendors. Any Angular or Angular 2.0 experience (a plus). Skills and Knowledge: Experience with relational databases and strong functional knowledge of Oracle PL*SQL. Design and develop timely, high quality products, with state of the art user interfaces. Experience with distributed computing platforms and practical development experience in one or more programming languages. Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience with DevOps processes including Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies. Collaborate with other developers in designing the services and data objects supporting the UI.
