Role: BI Analyst/SME Location:Remote Duration: 6+ Months Client: Sligo Software Solutions Client Job ID#: SLG-1040 Description BI Analyst and SME with experience on data warehouse migration Duties Lead the development of highly innovative products/solutions, achieved through collaboration and dialogue with other experts in the field. The candidate will continually assess advancements in technologies to gauge and recommend better solutions for the customer to improve the software developer experience and efficient delivery of software. Mentor and coach technical staff, proactively shape product vision, and support multiple internal/external initiatives to achieve mission success. The candidate will have past and proven experiences as the technical lead on large, complex projects, and enterprise solutions. Provide technical advice/input that impact strategic client outputs and Leidos business results. Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace. Experience in BI related fields with progressively increased level of responsibility in data analysis, data modeling, BI development, database development and SQL experiences. Good understanding with BI development life cycle, data architect, metadata management, data marts and related methodologies. Experience in ETL design and development using any ETL tools such as Informatica and Ab Initio. Familiar with data replication methodology tools and technology. Experience with data lake, big data, AWS and cloud-based databases, MPP database technologies such as Greenplum and PostgreSQL is a plus Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Outstanding SQL and data analysis skills Experience in data modeling for operational and data warehousing using ERWin Data Modeler tools is a plus. Experience in analyzing and building reports / dashboards using BI reporting tools such as Tableau, Web Focus and MicroStrategy is advantageous Able to multi-task under tight deadlines. Ability to work with multiple teams and users for more than one project, at the same time. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate with others effectively and efficiently Excellent oral and written communication skills are mandatory. Mandatory Requirements Experience (10+ Years) Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field Masters or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience 7+ years of experience with Business Intelligence and Enterprise Architecture support 4+ years of experience with Enterprise and/or Legacy data migration Minimum of 2 years of experience working with relational databases such as Greenplum, DB2, Oracle and SQL Server including hands on experience with developing SQL queries. Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting validation activities including documenting test plans and test scenarios, identifying/creating test data, executing test cases/test scenarios, and identifying/documenting defects. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with stakeholders and end users to elicit and document business, functional and technical requirements. Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct end user support to provide guidance and expertise for using reporting tools, troubleshooting issues, and developing user guides and training materials. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences through formal training sessions, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis. Required Skills: In-depth understanding of Business Intelligence solutions (statistics, graphics, complex reporting) Ability to quickly understand government specific architectures, existing and proposed, and provide/propose solutions for technical problems. Self-starter, highly motivated individual, and a team player who adapts to a dynamic work environment. Prior SSA or Federal government experience. Desired Skills: Experience with migration of large data warehouse Experience with developing migration architecture Education: Master's degree and 6+ years of experience in a training-related field or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in a training-related field Must be able to obtain a Public Trust.
