Title: Network Security Engineer Location: Brooklyn, NY (Onsite role) Work week: 40 hours onsite position no remote Interview Mode: In-person interview at Brooklyn, NY Note: Candidate with Pulse secure/Ivanti SSL/VPN experience/knowledge. Need candidates with this required knowledge. Client is looking for a Network security engineer who can provide technical and operational assistance for Pulse secure environment. Assist on ongoing MFA migration project. Work closely with the team to troubleshoot SSL-VPN (Pulse secure) and help resolve issues quickly. Perform Software upgrades, new deployments, configuration reviews, and hardware platform upgrades. Primary work functions will be required to be performed on premises. Description: 6+ years experience in network administration and management. Expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and customization of TLS/SSLVPN/Pulse Connect Secure features. Extensive routing, switching and firewall experience supporting complex LAN/WAN security networks. Experience with large IP switched/routed based networks and firewalls. Knowledge of IP addressing and subnetting (IPv4/6), routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF and MPLS. Working knowledge of Virtual Private networks. Advanced installation/troubleshooting experience of Palo Alto Firewall. Advanced installation/troubleshooting experience of Juniper firewall/switch hardware/OS software. Advanced installation/troubleshooting experience of Kemp Load Balancer. Strong knowledge of VPN tunneling and telecommunication protocols. Excellent understanding of Service Management environment including operations, processes, etc. Ability to quickly assist teams in diagnosing network, application and system/server issues using common network tools and monitoring systems such as Network TAP, wireshark, Riverbed Pilot/shark and Splunk. Ability to prioritize work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment including the resolution of escalated issues and events. Understanding Linux/Unix, Windows operating system internals, including system security. Keep all documentation (including LAN/WAN drawings and equipment lists) accurate and current. Develop authentication and authorization protocols, experience in NAC technology (802.1x). Works independently and exercises reasonable discernment with little supervision while providing clear documentation of activities and accomplishments. Knowledge of SIEM technology, Splunk.
