Position Title:- PostgreSQL Database Administration Location:- McLean, VA (Day 1 Onsite 3 Days onsite 2 days Remote) E xperience: 9+ years NOTE:- Migration exp. needed from PostgreSQL to Sybase. Job Description: At least 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration on Linux including: Installation, configuration, and maintenance Performance troubleshooting and database tuning Replication and high availability Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL and ability to analyze/debug stored procedures, functions & triggers. Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels Experience with database migration, preferably from Sybase to Postgres is desirable.
