From: Vicky, istaffx [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] This Application Developer GIS position will be responsible for working with the OCIO Geographic Information Office to develop and document standard GIS processes and scripts and support daily operations. Responsibilities will include developing administrative scripts, standards, and metadata to support the NEGIS Enterprise, and work with the team to support state agency GIS projects. The individual will need to have strong organizational skills, the ability to write technical documentation, and create video tutorials. Will work with the GIS Coordinator to support Nebraska GIS Council initiatives. Other duties include assisting the team in technical support to agencies, troubleshooting issues when they arise and develop solutions to agency GIS related tasks. A successful candidate should have experience with ArcGIS API, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, python/arcPy scripting, and GIS (SQL) database management. Additionally, an understanding of metadata, and automating and standardizing processes will be necessary. Requirements: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS or related field. Two (2) years working with and writing geographic information management and spatial data standards. Two (2) years experience with technologies such as: Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS API for Python, and Arcade. Two (2) years experience using Microsoft SQL Enterprise Databases v2016-2019 with ArcGIS Software. Five (5) plus years experience scripting GIS tools, and processes with ArcPY or Python. Experience developing policies, procedures, and standards related to GIS data including acquisition, updating, quality, and standards. Experience developing training and documentation for end users. Preferred: Experience with Geocortex/VertiGIS. Experience with Visual Studio, GIT. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
