Role : CA Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM) Admin Location : Owings Mills, MD. No H1B. Duration: 6 Months Questions to ask candidates: CA Unified Infrastructure Management (CA UIM), formerly CA Nimsoft Monitor, provides a single, scalable platform for monitoring servers, applications, networks, databases, and storage devices. It creates a single, unified architecture for both traditional and cloud environments. Were you the one configuring alerts in CA UIM Were you the one helping with CA UIM installation or was it already installed in the environment What recent version/release are you working on And have you been apart of any upgrades Do you have experience with Unix/Linux/Windows administration If so, which have you done administration most recently on Do you have experience integrating CA UIM with service-now Notes about the role -want someone who has UIM software and set up monitoring tools (theres a lot more that needs to be done) -prefers service-now experience (not looking for a service-now developer) -main focus is on UIM -day to day: monitoring, integrating what they have now with servicenow, work with server teams to review monitors they had in place with the old tool and make sure they can be instrumented with the UIM tool, Make sure alerts are set up properly, -transferring to a new tool, want someone who can bring in knowledge about UIM that the team doesnt already have -they are running version 23 -upgrading versions Position Description: CA Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM) Admin to join an enterprise financial institute. Daily the Admin will be monitoring the application, performing integrations with ServiceNow, making sure alerts are set up properly and etc. Currently, the team is using version 23, so when new versions come out the admin will help with upgrades.
