FinOps Lead Locations: Remote- Prefer West Coast ( CA and Washington State ) or NJ , MD area Client Location Sacramento CA NEED CANDIDATE WHO WORKED WITH MORCROSOFT OR KAISER PERMANANTE in PAST- MANDATORY Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial operations (FinOps) strategies, policies, and processes to optimize financial management within the organization. Manage and oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, cost optimization, forecasting, and financial analysis. Collaborate with stakeholders, including finance teams, department heads, and senior management, to define financial goals, objectives, and KPIs. Develop and maintain financial models, tools, and dashboards to provide visibility into financial performance, costs, and savings opportunities. Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives, such as resource optimization, cloud cost management, and vendor management. Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify areas of improvement and drive financial decision-making. Monitor and control financial budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial policies and guidelines. Provide financial insights, recommendations, and reports to stakeholders and senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making. Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring optimal terms and pricing. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in financial management and cost optimization. Lead and mentor a team of financial analysts and professionals, fostering their professional development and growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as a FinOps lead, finance manager, or similar role, with a focus on financial operations and cost optimization. Strong understanding of financial management principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Expertise building several dashboards, alerts and info-visuals leveraging Azure tools Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial reporting. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends, patterns, and cost-saving opportunities. Experience in implementing cost optimization strategies, including resource optimization, cloud cost management, and vendor management. Familiarity with financial tools and systems, such as ERP systems, budgeting software, and financial reporting tools. Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of financial professionals. Proficiency in using spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, for financial analysis and modeling. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), are a plus.
