You are a forward-thinking Developer
that is passionate about
application development, curious about business processes, and enjoys solving
problems.  You will be tasked with the development of new features for a
web application built to manage our hiring and job candidate evaluation
process.
The ideal candidate will
also have experience with Azure Compute and Cloud Service offerings as well as
a passion for automation.

You would thrive on a diverse team
of experts
who are
responsible for a variety of corporate-related software platforms and
applications.  We partner closely with our Timberlands and Wood Products
Businesses as well as company-wide departments like HR, Legal, Finance, and
Corporate Affairs. Applications we support include Identity & Access Management,
Talent & Recruiting, Weyerhaeusers Environmental Information System, and
many more. Our team plays a key role in maintaining and improving these systems
that allow the company to keep moving every day.

This involves both new development and continuous
improvement of our applications, workflows, interfaces, and technology, all
with the ultimate goals of business enablement, risk reduction, and operational
efficiencies.

Responsibilities

Develop
new features and fixes for our web application using C#, JavaScript, &
TypeScript

Observe
security requirements set by IT Security when making code or configuration
changes

Design,
conduct, and coordinate testing activities (unit, QA, user acceptance,
integration, etc.)

Automate
tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error

Create
and maintain up-to-date process documentation

Participate
in ITIL incident, change, and problem processes as appropriate

Find
opportunities to improve current monitors and fine tune alerting thresholds

Assist
in evaluating technical, process, and policy considerations for projects and
initiatives

Qualifications

Bachelors
Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science or equivalent
work/educational experience

Minimum
of 3 years of experience developing IT application(s), including design,
analysis, development, testing, and implementation

Strong
technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Strong
oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical
audiences

Demonstrated
success working in a collaborative environment as well as independently

Ability
to analyze potential impacts to processes and systems across the organization
when developing solutions 

Ability
to prioritize between multiple concurrent work items while delivering quality
results

Proven
ability to operate and effectively communicate while under pressure; as well as
the ability to manage a diverse workload and work under time constraints with
minimal supervision

Technical
Qualifications

Strong
working knowledge of a modern programming language (C#, C++, Java)

Strong
working knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

Strong
working knowledge of SQL Server scripting and stored procedures

Extensive
experience with API and Web Service development

Extensive
experience with XML and JSON

Experience
with Visual Studio or VS Code

Experience
with source code management (Azure DevOps, VSTS, TFS, Git, etc.)

Experience
with Microsoft Azure Compute and Cloud Services

Highly
Valued

Experience
with one or more of the following:

o
   Agile methodologies or
practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)

o
   Active Directory and
LDAP/ADSI

o
   Microsoft Graph API or Azure
AD Graph API

o
   .NET, MVC, and the Entity
Framework

o
   HTML5
