Role: PIM (Product Information Management) Tech Lead Location: Raritan, NJ (Hybrid 2 days Work from home and 3 days office) Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Client is recruiting for a highly skilled PIM (Product Information Management) Tech Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for driving PIM initiatives, optimizing data management processes, and making significant contributions to the overall business success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and technical experience with PIM platforms from having led technical or configuration teams. PIM System Implementation: As a PIM tech lead your main responsibility will be to coordinate the implementation and configuration of Salsify for new emerging markets (LATAM, APAC). This includes leading efforts for data modeling, taxonomy development, and workflow automation. You will collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to define system requirements, data structures, and integration points. Team Leadership and Collaboration: You will lead a team of Salsify configurators and administrators by providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support. Your team will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, marketers, and developers, to gather requirements and align regional PIM initiatives with overall business objectives. Data Management and Governance: As the teams technical lead, you will aid in developing and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and best practices for product information management. You will design and implement data quality control processes, data validation rules, and data cleansing procedures. You team will ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product data as it pertains to the corresponding regional instance and markets. Continuous Improvement: You will regularly review and analyze performance metrics, global PIM feedback, and market/retailer trends to identify areas of improvement. You will also proactively identify and resolve technical obstacles, bottlenecks, and system issues that may impact the configuration process or data quality. This includes fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning within the team and promoting agile best practices/principles. Requirements: 3+ years experience in implanting and managing PIM solutions such as Salsify, Akeneo, inRiver, or similar platforms. Proven experience with global implementations preferred. Strong knowledge of PIM concepts, data modeling, taxonomy, and data governance. Experience in customizing and extending PIM systems using APIs, data scripting, or custom development. Solid understanding of data integration methods including APIs, web services, and data transformation. Familiarity with e-commerce systems, content management systems (CMS), and digital asset management (DAM) systems. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a technical team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex data structures and workflows. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
