| Title: Solution Architect Location: Philadelphia PA (hybrid 4 days a week) (locals only) Rate: $65/hr CTC some flex Interview: Phone and Skype VISA: No H1 candidates (All other VISA accepted) Duration: 6+ month contract Telecom experience is a huge plus!!! Responsibilities Architect and design scalable and high-performance solutions for telecom voice products, with a focus on BVE (Business Voice Edge). Collaborate with stakeholders, including Product Owner, Delivery Manager, Scrum mAster, product managers, business analysts, and developers, to gather requirements and understand business needs. Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and best practices. Develop architectural designs, including system components, modules, interfaces, and integration points, while considering performance, scalability, and security aspects. Define and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and frameworks related to telecom voice products and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, database administrators, and network engineers, to ensure successful implementation and deployment of voice product solutions. Conduct code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers to enhance their technical skills and knowledge. Perform technical feasibility studies and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into the telecom voice product architecture. Identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks, ensuring smooth operation and optimal performance of the voice product solutions. Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to design and implement scalable and reliable telecom voice product architectures. Monitor and assess the performance of voice product solutions, identifying areas for optimization and implementing necessary improvements. Ensure compliance with relevant telecom industry standards, regulations, and security protocols. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Architect, with a strong focus on telecom voice products. Extensive knowledge and experience in designing and implementing voice product solutions, specifically BVE (Business Voice Edge). Proficiency in Java programming language and a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles. Strong experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Expertise in microservices architecture, including the design of APIs, communication protocols, and service orchestration. In-depth knowledge of database technologies, particularly MySQL, and experience with optimizing database performance. Familiarity with telecom industry standards and protocols, such as SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol). Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, VoIP, and QoS (Quality of Service). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Experience with Agile software development methodologies and familiarity with related tools and practices. Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams, providing technical guidance and support. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and comprehensive architectural designs and specifications.
