Position: Power BI Reports Developer Location: Remote (Only MST time zone consultants) Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: At COMPANY, we have made significant investments in enhancing our data supply through new systems. This advancement has unlocked a valuable opportunity to optimize data utilization by creating interactive dashboards that provide operational insights. These insights are fundamental in aiding staff at various levels, answering questions and triggering actions to drive operations. As we implement a process framework to progressively develop data analytics dashboards across our organization, the need for a Business Analyst specializing in Dashboard Development is paramount. This role demands substantial engagement with staff, necessitating exemplary communication, group facilitation, and collaboration skills. This position will be reporting directly to the BI Program Manager. The arrangement is primarily remote, with possible onsite group work sessions in Denver. Contract extensions will be considered. Key Responsibilities: 1. Conduct discovery sessions with COMPANY staff to understand analytics needs and confirm requirements. 2. Develop dashboard wireframes compliant with design standards to fulfill analytics requirements. 3. Collaborate closely with COMPANY staff and team members throughout the design, development, delivery, and continuous enhancement of data analytics dashboards. 4. Conduct tests on dashboards to ensure requirements are met and organize test sessions with COMPANY staff. 5. Work with team members on the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the dashboard process framework. Provide necessary training for staff to engage effectively with the process framework. Specific Tasks: 1. Organize and lead work sessions with COMPANY staff groups for discovery/requirements, testing, and training. 2. Elicit, document, and validate dashboard requirements from staff. 3. Lead the creation of dashboard wireframes and designs leveraging COMPANY design standards. Collaboratively iterate with staff and team members. Post-approval, coordinate with developers for dashboard development. 4. Document dashboard testing results and compare them against requirements. Collaborate with developers to rectify issues. 5. Train staff on dashboard usage and integrate training materials within dashboards. 6. Utilize team collaboration tools for tracking activities related to the dashboard process framework. 7. Seek and incorporate dashboard feedback from staff. 8. Contribute to the website content supporting the dashboard process framework and dashboard usage at COMPANY. Minimum Qualifications: 1. Based in the US, preferably in the mountain/Denver timezone. 2. Core availability from 9am to 4pm MT, Monday to Thursday. Weekly hours range from 32 to 40 hours depending on workload. 3. Excellent communication and group facilitation skills. 4. Experience in an engineering and/or construction project environment. 5. Experience working in an agile environment with iterative deliverable review/refine cycles. 6. 5 years of Business Analyst experience. 7. 2 years of experience with Microsoft Power BI. 8. 2 years of experience in diagramming/wireframing. 9.
