Infrastructure Cloud Architect This is Hybrid role in Atlanta GA with 1 to 2 days Need Local to GA Candidates Responsible for advanced support of complete process of infrastructure design, including systems analysis, security, network, and systems configuration. Guide, Develop and facilitate Infrastructure and Platform level designs by evaluating business strategies and requirements, collaborating with application solution designers and Ops subject matter experts, managing design standards, and facilitating integration and security solutions Discovery and documentation of as-built end-to-end service mappings, gap analysis for reliability and availability, development of templates and standard reference architectures, procurement of Infrastructure components, and support for build submissions Collect and analyze design requirements to provide solutions while mitigating risk with deployment into production networks. Work on Enterprise class datacenters, LAN/WAN, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure/platform technologies from Cox's strategic partners including Dell, Cisco, EMC, NetApp, Red Hat, Oracle, Microsoft, and Citrix. Work on application and data security, application and infrastructure fault tolerance and high-availability designs, application/service level protocols and communication methods. Communicate both at the technical and executive level to define budgetary estimates, provide cost benefit justifications, and provide technical expertise to influence solution designs with cross-functional team support. Plan, design, and implement potential periodic improvements and/or build existing/new environments. Coordinate product/application releases in the lower environment, including ECR process Coordinates with Development to ensure that implementations regarding network and infrastructure security across the company are fully understood and leveraged. Develops enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms. Responsibilities: Responsible for understanding and scope of new projects, estimating resources/time as well as interacting with end users to understand their needs. Gathers requirements, conducts technical analysis and writes functional and technical design specifications Adheres to company documented infrastructure design standards and best practices Works with vendors in analyzing, researching, evaluating and recommending computer hardware, software, and support services. Solicits bids and negotiates price and/or performance. Resolves customers issues/incidents with existing solutions Interfaces with cross functional Subject Matter Experts in translating business acumen and rules into infrastructure designs. Design and develop infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions. Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions Develops specifications for interfaces from existing to new systems. Manages progress of vendors in software development, and other projects as needed. Develops technical documentation for training and operational support of new applications. Provides guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other team members including design review, code review, and creation of new standards and best practices.
