Client is 

currently seeks a Lead Senior Java Developer to join our team in - Columbia, SC Hybrid / Partially Client Onsite. 

Responsibilities: 

Design, build, test, and deploy data Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines using Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools, technologies, and services. 

Use Java, JavaScript, and Python to design, develop, and test AWS software solutions. 

Lead, and often work alongside, teams of DBAs, BAs, QA staff, developers, and data scientists to create data delivery solutions according to industry best practices and federal guidelines. 

Collaborate closely with architecture, production support, and other development teams to build scalable AWS software solutions. 

Conduct functional testing activities, including unit, integration, and QA tests. 

As a developer on a Scrum team, commit to continuous improvement through the development, maintenance, and improvement of team standards, processes, procedures, and policies. 

Ensure necessary system security by using industry and organizational security standards. 

Troubleshoot and solve issues across platform and application domains. 

Required Technical Skills 

Minimum 8 years experience including the following: 

Minimum 5 years designing and developing software solutions using AWS tools, technologies, and services. 

Minimum 5 years writing software solutions using Python, with equivalent Java and/or JavaScript experience. 

Minimum 5 years developing in both Linux and Windows environments. 

Minimum 3 years writing SQL queries. 

Minimum 3 years delivering product solutions using agile (Scrum or XP) methods. 

BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience 

Desired Skills 

Hands-on experience in delivering business solutions using: 

AWS Glue 

AWS Lambda 

API Gateway 

AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, and CodeCommit 

AWS CloudFormation 

AWS Athena 

AWS Firehose 

Kafka 

Implementing security best practices using IAM roles, AWS KMS, etc. 

Automated testing tools 

IBM Operational Decision Manager tools (IBM Decision Center, IBM Decision Server Rules, and IBM Rule Designer), or similar 

IBM X12 translator tools (ITX), or similar 

X12 transaction sets (specifically, 837p/837i, NCPDP, 277CA, TA1, and 999) 

Medicaid encounter processing 

MarkLogic Data Hub, including data ingestion and transformation into XML/JSON 

Experience in the health insurance domain, especially Medicaid implementations 

Experience with Apache Spark, including PySpark and Spark SQL solutions. 

Monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Event Bridge 

Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) 

AWS Developer certification is a plus. 

AWS Solution Architect certification is a plus.
