As a Cloud Edge Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects related to the implementation and deployment of cloud edge computing solutions. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, within specified timeframes and budget constraints. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, developers, and stakeholders, to drive the adoption of cloud edge technologies and deliver innovative solutions. Strong project management skills, technical expertise in cloud computing, and a deep understanding of edge computing concepts will be essential for success in this role. In this role, you will lead cross-functional projects and programs that span multiple stakeholders, including product owners, engineers, operators, compliance specialists, finance and legal partners, and others. You will build bridges among these stakeholders to communicate visions and objectives, define project plans, align resources and priorities, and drive the delivery of innovative solutions to support the GSK global business unit requirements aligned with GSK Enterprise Architecture guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Work with appropriate leaders and project sponsors to understand the Edge Cloud requirements. Work on application disposition of Edge cloud strategy that is designed and get it implemented successfully Ensure appropriate resource allocation and onboarding supplementary resources via Strategic Partners for support of global work packages as needed Lead a matrix team to deliver solutions and processes in support of project objectives and requirements leading the project team and motivation all team members with clear direction and communication Manage the project plan, budget, risks and issues, calling out to senior management when appropriate. Identify and actively monitor delivery of external dependencies. Define the deployment strategy and prepare and complete the project plan ensuring the project solution is transition to full support post delivery Manage the project budget on behalf of the appropriate Programme Manager or Sponsor. Work closely with other GSK Tech groups to ensure adequate resources are deployed to ensure delivery Collaborate with GP&T product owners to identify appropriate resourcing plans, leveraging both internal resources and contracting with strategic partners to deliver defined deliverables Ensure effective communications planning, leadership identification and engagement, regular status reporting to key business leaders, both within GP&T (internal) and with the appropriate programme (customer). Build close working relationships with customers, engineering teams and relevant business contacts to ensure i) confidence is built and maintained, ii) all parties are informed and engaged during the project, and iii) the solution supports the GP&T adoption by new markets and delivers maximum benefit. Establishes strategic direction in assigned area, by influencing and negotiating successful outcomes with senior leaders inside and outside of GP&T (at SVP, VP and Tech LT levels) Recommends and manages intelligent risk taking, with high transparency and with a clear willingness to be held accountable Supports leadership address high risk, high impact situations with clear analysis, high transparency and a sense of partnership, even if faced with significant adversity or major obstacles Hands on experience in delivering sophisticated infrastructure related projects in large scale global Life Sciences or FMCG industries Significant demonstrable experience delivering complex projects/programmes or acting as a SAFe Release Train Engineer Experience delivering projects/programmes related to connectivity infrastructure, specifically networks (LAN/WAN/WiFi/Firewalls), Cloud, Edge and/or security Experience with managing project schedules, finances, risks and issues. Ability to quickly grasp technical topics, particularly in the connectivity space (Cloud/Edge/WAN/LAN/WiFi/Firewalls) in sufficient detail to effectively communicate with customers and Tech delivery teams. Project governance and experience with Agile standards and procedures. Completion of Project Management or Agile Training Curriculum. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, IT, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience in project management, preferably in cloud computing or edge computing projects. Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and technologies (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with edge computing principles, including edge devices, data processing, and real-time analytics. Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to navigate complex project challenges. Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
