Position:                            SharePoint Systems Analyst

Location:                           Remote/Texas(Candidates MUST be local to Texas to be considered for this role)

Contract Length:            11/01/2023 and are expected to complete by 11/30/2024 for FY24.  2016 hours for FY24. (13mths)

Work Hours and Location:

A) Services shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Agency. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., excluding Texas state holidays when the agency is closed.

B) The primary work location will be at 701 W 51st Street Austin, TX 78751.

C) Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the workers and/or Vendors expense.

D) The worker will work remotely.

E) The worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through the Agency.

Other Special Requirements:

Candidates must be within the State of Texas. Out of State candidates will not be considered.

I.  DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission  and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s).

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

This Systems Analyst contractor position is part of the Administrative Applications SharePoint team and will be working to develop, implement, and support the expansion of the Texas HHS Microsoft 365 Power Platform for the implementation of the Hospice IT automation solution. This position will perform Systems Analyst/Developer duties that will involve the following Power Platform areas: Dataverse, Power Pages, PowerApps, Model-driven Apps, PowerApp Portals, Business Process Flows, and more.
