| From: Manoj, Nitya Software Solutions [email protected] Reply to: [email protected] Position: IBM MQ Middleware Support & Administration Location: Minneapolis MN (Onsite) Primary Responsibilities: Designing the infrastructure Performing applications integration to the infrastructure Supporting the testing process Educating developers on application function This is an admin role not a development role. This person will be working with developers to set up the infrastructure so developer can send and receive messages . Providing product support: Serve as subject matter expert on IBM MQ/IIB, includes technical assistance to application developers on Middleware related problems. Troubleshoot production issues application developers can't resolve; Work with other teams to improve security, performance, back-up strategies and disaster recovery plans. Qualifications and skills: Overall 8+ years of IT experience 5+ years of experience in IBM MQ Administration, utilizing MQ version 9 preferred Strong communication skills (verbal email) to communicate with clients and stakeholders A background in related Linux operating systems and technology is required IBM IIB V10 experience is preferred Experience in installation, configuration and administration of IBM MQ and IIB on UNIX and windows including -- Creation of Queue Managers, Queues, and other objects Design, implementation, and support of large MQ clusters High-available messaging platforms and ability to solution customers messaging needs MQ patching monitoring, troubleshooting and other housekeeping activities Development of automation for configuring, installing MQ or other middleware Experience in messaging tools ie RhfUtil, q-program Experience interfacing w/ IBM for the creation and follow thru on CASES for MQ support Familiarity with MQ security including SSL Familiarity with devops and kanban concepts useful.
