| Job Title: SQL Database Administrator LOCATION: ONSITE, TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA Duration: 12 months VISA: No OPT, CPT or H1B Candidate must be willing to provide three managerial references. Minimum Qualifications of Candidate The Department is seeking Database Administrator with the following minimum qualifications (these qualifications must be clearly stated on the resume and verifiable via reference checks): Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Certifications related to ETL processing is acceptable. 5+ years of experience with ETL development tools including but not limited to IBM DataStage. Experience with MS SQL database objects, coding, and architecture. 5+ years of experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages and scheduled jobs. 6+ years of experience with SQL relational databases or working with warehouse loading and extractions. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint Experience with Project Management (Standards, Best Practices, Terms, Tools) is desired. Ability to work well in a team environment with education and technology solutions. Demonstrated experience with implementation projects with the following characteristics: o High-profile, o Multiple technologies and functions. o Experience working in state government. o Excellent verbal and written communication skills. o Ability to communicate effectively with technical and user staff. Deliverables/Tasks The key deliverables include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading data into a warehouse environment. Consults and meets with the data management team to review data needs in order to develop jobs. Design and code based on Departments specifications and database architecture. Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed. Conduct testing of developed jobs and processes to ensure efficiency and functionality. Troubleshoot issues encountered during ETL processing in a timely structured manner. Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. Ability to communicate recommendations, issues encountered and overall project information clearly. Creates and improves data solutions that enable data delivery. Responsible for gathering, processing, maintaining, and analyzing large amounts of data. Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met.
