Job Description: 10 + years of of GIS experience preferably in Upstream Oil & Gas Industry Technical Expertise: Mastery level GIS experience is a must for this position Be an expert in data storage standards, user permissions processes, virtual machine usage, and willingness to develop expertise in Map Hub environment. Ability to communicate effectively, work well in teams and support technical staff individually in their project work. Responsibilities: Design, build, implement and support solutions that enable the successful execution of exploration work programs and NV activities. Manage and update project data in ArcGIS, Petra, Petrel Studio, Spotfire, etc. using internal company and external data (i.e WoodMac, IHS, GCCSI, OGCI and similar). Work within a high performance, agile culture that works across Exploration organizations and the enterprise to develop new tools, improve workflows and solve issues to remove barriers for the team. Support exploration efforts with GIS work and product support including maps, competitor activities to enable delivery of presentations, reports for internal and external stakeholders Candidate will keep up to date with geospatial community and ensure that exploration teams are using the best data and workflows available to the Subject Matter Experts to produce a consistent and cohesive view of opportunities Candidate will also provide help with product creation by way of map making and upkeep of key team GIS products. Candidate will be expected to be or become an active member of the Chevron geospatial community and work toward mastery and application of Chevrons Geospatial community processes and standards.
