How you'll make an impact: Strong experience in implementing Data warehouse solutions in AWS Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL; Worked on various projects to migrate data from on premise databases to Redshift, RDS and S3. Strong experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, debugging and supporting AWS Cloud Databases and the related ecosystems. What you'll do: Deploy and administer AWS Redshift, columnar data lake, and SQL query engines. Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution with RPO/RTO objectives and SLAs. Provide consistent database maintenance, optimization and best practices inputs to existing Redshift, Aurora, data lake and other applications. Automate provisioning, operation, monitoring and troubleshooting of the database and data lake infrastructure. Monitor of database server performance, making and implementing tuning recommendations, capacity planning, database security and data integrity including backup/snapshots Optimize and tune the Redshift, Aurora and the ETL queries Implement Work Load Management (WML) in Redshift to prioritize basic dashboard queries over more complex longer-running adhoc queries. Define and deploy monitoring, metrics, and logging systems on AWS using CloudWatch, Grafana. Responsible for the development and implementation of preventative maintenance routines to ensure availability and performance of database files and their related management systems. Provide 24x7 support to production and critical project including participating in a weekly on call rotation. Enforce user access control based on the company compliance policy. Provide weekly, quarterly and adhoc audit reports to Information Security Officers. Ensure proper security of all databases and their respective database management systems within the corporation including maintaining and auditing security roles, auditing security and account management functions. Responsible for the development of documentation to perform tasks listed above. What you'll need: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. 10+ years of DBA experience is required 3+ years of AWS Redshift, Aurora PostgreSQL and other analytic columnstore experience is must. 3+ years experience with SQL analysis, development and troubleshooting activities, including data warehousing, analytical applications development and support. 3+ years experience with enterprise database operations as a primary Redshift DBA. 1+ years experience with data lake and SQL engine design, operations, and maintenance experience. Strong Performance tuning skills Experience on Teradata and Singlstore is plus Experience with MPPs. Experience with analytics on a big data stack. Experience with AWS services and AWS CLI. A demonstrated understanding of analytic data modeling for big data and strong data analysis skills. An understanding of the differences between columstores and row stores.
