We have an immediate opening for the below position with one of our premium clients Job Title: Kafka Developer Work Location: Dallas, TX (Day one Onsite) Duration :Long term Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kafka Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of our Kafka-based data streaming solutions. As a Kafka Developer, you will play a crucial role in building scalable, high-performance, and reliable data streaming applications that enable real-time event-driven communication between microservices and systems. Responsibilities: Design and develop Kafka-based data streaming solutions to facilitate real-time event processing and communication between various applications and services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers, and DevOps, to gather requirements, design, and implement Kafka infrastructure and components. Optimize Kafka configurations and performance to ensure efficient data ingestion, processing, and delivery with minimal latency. Develop Kafka producers and consumers to enable seamless data flow and reliable message delivery across distributed systems. Implement Kafka topics and partitions, ensuring proper data distribution and load balancing. Work closely with Data Architects and Engineers to integrate Kafka with other data platforms and databases to support data processing and analytics needs. Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka-related issues, such as data loss, broker failures, and performance bottlenecks. Monitor Kafka clusters and implement effective monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure system health and reliability. Implement security measures for Kafka, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, to ensure data privacy and protection. Stay up-to-date with the latest Kafka features, updates, and best practices to continuously improve the system's performance and scalability. Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and knowledge about Kafka and event-driven architectures. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying Kafka-based solutions in production environments. Strong proficiency in Java or other programming languages used for Kafka application development. Extensive knowledge of Kafka architecture, concepts, and internals, including brokers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups. Experience with Kafka APIs, including producers, consumers, Kafka Connect, and Kafka Streams. Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, message queuing systems, and data streaming concepts. Proficiency in setting up and managing Kafka clusters, configuring brokers, and optimizing performance. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and deploying Kafka in cloud environments. Knowledge of Kafka security features, such as SSL, SASL, and ACLs. Experience with monitoring tools and metrics for Kafka clusters. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Kafka deployments. Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
