A day in the life: As a Senior Engineer, you will work as a Cloud engineering expert for the OMS (Order Management System) Platform team. You will be counted on as a leader in the Cloud Infrastructure team, as you contribute to all areas of development and operations (preproduction to production). This engineer primarily focuses on engineering related to automating platform capabilities: cloud account management, landing zone and network connectivity, and automation of infrastructure builds. You will also contribute to cost optimization opportunities and cybersecurity efforts.

As a Senior Engineer, you will dedicate a fair amount of time to the planning and discovery of tools and practices inside your given area of expertise. You will apply that knowledge by working closely with other team engineers, architects, and product managers to promote platform level change. Senior Engineer, take production readiness and performance personally and help drive continuous improvement. You will be part of a day-to-day production release team and will perform limited on-call support functions as needed from time to time. You will be considered as key team member of OMS Cloud Infra team and you work on and focus on how your product(s) are delivered and how to optimize them for efficiency, security, and reliability.

Work with architects and contribute towards AWS cloud infra roadmaps, IaC Pipeline, security, reliability, supporting multiple environments.

Conduct research to aid in product development and tools selection. Contributes to the development of new cloud platform automation and security principles and strategies.

Articulate technical functionality of cloud platforms to multiple technical audiences.

Educate and advise users on how to adopt the functionality of infrastructure platform products within their strategy and processes to achieve measurable value.

Translate application team needs into technical solutions and product requirements.

Influences decisions that impact critical long term IT strategy for organizational success.

Provide thought leadership to ensure that systems and services are designed, and operating to achieve optimal levels of performance, reliability, and sustainability.

Actively monitor key metrics, reports on trends, and make improvement recommendations.

Participate in Engineering Community of Practice for your product(s).

Contribute to engineering automation, management, or development of production level systems.

Review product roadmaps and guide intake acceptance for a set of production systems.
