Position: DevOps SRE Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Months Mode of Interview: Phone and Video Job Description: The DevOps SRE engineer is responsible for supporting development and deployment of AmFam Groups application portfolio. You will be a part of our DevOps SRE team and report to the product owner responsible for DevOps process improvement, reliability, and troubleshooting efforts for the organization. Duties for this role include, but are not limited to: - ServiceNow Incident and Problem Response - Automation and orchestration of DevOps pipeline tools - Improvement of existing processes and observability of those processes - CI/CD Pipeline Management and Troubleshooting Candidate Requirements: - Associates degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or other related fields. - 4+ years of appropriate experience - Proven hands-on experience with DevOps, building CI/CD using Gitlab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS - Experience with administration of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, RHEL) - Experience with python - Experience with java application servers, including JBoss and Tomcat - Experience in troubleshooting and problem analysis It is ideal if candidates also have experience in the following, but not required: - Experience working in the insurance/financial industry - Experience with additional languages such as Perl, PowerShell, or BASH scripting - Exposure to governance frameworks such as PCI, HIPAA - Experience in Kubernetes within AWS and GCP - A passion for all things DevOps - A willingness to teach and learn alongside the team - Strong documentation writing Keywords: continuous integration continuous deployment information technology |
