Position : Software Engineer (C#), USC or GC Only Location: Remote Duration: 6+ Month MOI: Phone and Video Must have really strong C#. had 2 candidates interview and both of them performed not so good in the C# online test so they passed. Top 3 skills: API development, C#/.NET (version 7 ideally, if not then one of the latest version), Azure Notes: They have some legacy code and old technology (WCF services) that they want to upgrade to the latest technology. Theyre looking for this person to rewrite WCF services written in C# to modern RESTful APIs. They have 5 APIs. Once all the APIs are written then maintenance, enhancements, adding more APIs, the work will continue. Theres no designated API developer right not but the team has some experience. The primary focus for this role is on APIs but there is room to do different work long term, especially if they have Sitecore experience. Sitecore is a huge plus but not required as there is plenty of work not in Sitecore. They are doing some documentation and architecture for the APIs so that will be ready when this person starts. C#, Azure, SQL Server talking to the database through APIs. They are also going to upgrade to .NET 7 so if they have experience in the latest (or most recent) .NET frameworks that would be important dont want someone with old .NET frameworks only. Most important skills: Want to focus on Azure instead of the other clouds- if we cant find Azure we can look for AWS or GCP. APIs, back-end services, server services. Latest or more recent version of .NET C#, SQL Server Team structure: Mani is engineering manager 2 Sr. Software Engineers and one Jr that reports to one of the Sr. The full software development team is bigger and works more on Sitecore and report up to Manis supervisor. Summary DBC Pri-Med is seeking a Software Engineer to join our development team. The Software Engineer is responsible for both enhancing existing and developing new APIs used by our customer facing sites and internal business applications. This position will work closely with the other application support and development team members on various tasks/projects following agile methodologies and processes. We are looking for collaborative and positive candidates who are comfortable working on multiple sites/applications, pick up modern technologies quickly and can adapt to changing requirements. Responsibilities Analyze, design, implement, and refactor new and existing APIs using .NET technology. Deliver quality code and demonstrate competence at testing/debugging API code. Be an active participant in both sides of code reviews Participate in daily Scrum and other Sprint related meetings (Engineering Estimation, Review, etc.) Responsible for staying abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and competitive activities. Collaborating with other development team members, business analysts, and sometimes end users to understand business requirements. Developing API based integrations between Azure (service bus, blob storage etc.) and other internal or external applications. Communicate effectively and appropriately with all members of the team. Requirements Bachelor's Degree with a technology focus or equivalent combination of education and experience 3+ years of software development experience 1+ years of cloud development experience; Microsoft Azure (preferred), AWS or Google Cloud Experience with C# and backend development; RESTful API, Entity Framework Experience writing automated unit tests using nunit/xunit or other tools. Experience with Azure Repos and Git or similar source control system Experience with modern security concepts like OAuth, Single Sign On etc. Proficiency with relational databases and SQL Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency Bonus Points Azure certified is a huge plus Sitecore API development experience Keywords: csharp green card |
