Description The IT department is seeking a SQL Developer responsible for the proper and efficient business use of the organizations data stores, maximizing the productivity of the datas end users. Responsibilities include: planning, designing, developing, and testing application and data maintenance software systems. Typical Duties: Designs, develops, and maintains database code objects, including coding for SQL stored procedures and views, in cooperation with application developers and accordance with database standards and best practices. Designs, develops, and maintains database code scripts to validate or maintain data external to the application. Manages and performs detailed testing of database objects and scripts; performs code reviews. Writes and maintains specifications and documentation for database objects and scripts. Contributes to the design of the data model for application modifications/enhancements. Identifies SQL code performance issues and optimizes SQL code for performance. Participates (with a team of six) in an on-call weekly rotation to provide support for critical systems outside Additional Requirements / Preferences: Satisfactory criminal background check required. (completed by AOPC) Extensive experience in client-server application development using T-SQL for coding stored procedures and database scripts with a good understanding of relational database concepts required.
