Long Term JD: This is a zSeries Mainframe Storage position with very unique skills involving GDPS/MGM, Safeguarded Copy (Ransomware Protection) and Transparent Cloud Tiering (TCT). In this role you'll provide day to day zSeries Storage management support for the zSeries platforms. This would include rotating on-call support, resolve production issues either reported or identified by automated monitoring systems, perform zSeries Storage capacity planning to monitor space and take proactive steps to prevent issues and work with zSeries applications and other zSeries Platform teams to troubleshoot complex problems that impact our customer's ability to perform required business functions. You'll be part of a team that supports a complex GDPS/MGM zSeries environment ensuring proper stability and availability to clients around the world. Responsibilities: Take the ownership for handling and maintaining data storage's engineering process. Provide day to day zSeries Storage management support for the zSeries platforms. Perform zSeries Storage capacity planning to monitor space. Troubleshoot complex problems that impact our customer's ability to perform required business functions. Mandatory Skills Description : 10+ Years working with IBM DASD and IBM VTS technology 10+ Years working with IBM DFSMS, DFHSM and DFDSS 10+ Years of Experience managing and troubleshooting storage systems and all dataset types (VSAM, sequential, PDS, PDS/e, etc.) 10+ Years of Experience with coding SMS ACS Routines Experience with an x37 abend recovery tool i.e. IBM Tivoli Advanced Allocation Manager Experience with IDCAMS and other IBM Utilities Experience with mainframe JCL Experience with REXX and/or SAS coding Experience with IBM RMM and CA1 tape management software Working knowledge of IBM solutions related to Transparent Cloud Tiering, SafeGuarded Copy and MGM 4 Site solutions Hands on Experience with hardware encryption software 5+ Years of hands-on experience with IBM GDPS/MGM environments Nice-to-Have Skills : IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center, REXX, IDCAMS Keywords: access management wtwo |
