Please forward your updated resume to [email protected] JOB DESCRIPTION:- ROLE:- Oracle Applications DBA RTP, NC(Hybrid) Note: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires a Senior Applications DBA to support the migration and development of various applications for North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST). Description: The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires a Senior Applications DBA to support migration of Oracle database effort from on-prem to AWS cloud and design/development of various applications for NC FAST in AWS Cloud. Primary responsibilities include managing the application schema, design, and extensions within the database for development, test, and production environments for very large Oracle database on Linux platform. The responsibilities also include database technical support, performance tuning, application administration and consulting, and providing support for Oracle, Oracle Data guard, Oracle Golden Gate. This resource will serve in a key role in the creation of database migration plans from on-Prem to AWS, participate in the development of procedures for effective database use and ensuring standards are met. Other duties include working with developers to identify and refine data requirements, database design, database migration planning, and configuration, performing backup and recovery, monitoring database performance, and reorganizing database structures as needed, and creation and modification of test and production data, base schemas. This role is also required to provide technical leadership in data archiving, data extract (full copy or subset) from production region to non-production region, and data masking/de-identification of the extract data. Skill Set: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Demonstrable skills in designing schema, access patterns, locking strategy, SQL development, and tuning Oracle Databases in an enterprise environment Required 7 Modifying the database structure, creation and update to existing database objects per application needs Required 7 Experience in configuring, monitoring, and Cache management for Oracle database servers Required 3 Strong experience in allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system Required 3 Experience in supporting and implementing Oracle Golden Gate Required 2 Must have experience in implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS including RDS Required 2 Experience authoring code in SQL, PL/SQL on Unix/Linux Required 5 Proficiency in one or more shell scripting languages Required 2 Hands-on experience enrolling users and maintaining system security, Controlling user access to the database, Locking down host access Required 5 Monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates Required 5 Designing and implementing backup/restore service and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on AWS cloud Required 2 Experience with installing, upgrading, and patching the software that powers the database (Oracle) Required 3 Strong experience in data archiving solution for large oracle database Required 2 Experience with data masking/de-identification of production data for non-production usage. Required 2 Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to establish and maintain effective working relationships Required 7 Experience with advanced security and Oracle DataGuard replication Highly desired 2 Participate in on-call rotation and weekend work Required 5 Question 1 : Please list tools and technologies used for archiving, subsetting (extract of data from prod region for a given criteria) and data masking/de-identification.
