| Job Title Sr. Network Engineer Visa No H1B Location Austin, TX- Local to Austin only Client State of TX. We are currently searching for a Sr. Network Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Austin, TX. *This is a hybrid on-site role. MUST currently be a local resident to be considered. This role is responsible for installing networking technologies and supporting networks. Will perform highly complex network engineering work including operating, monitoring and managing network infrastructure. Also responsible for the design, implementation, management and operational support of Network Infrastructure, as well as assessing existing network configurations and making recommendations based on product specifications. Will configure equipment and software to meet business needs, train others on the solution, and document the solution for ongoing support. This role functions as part of a team on larger projects, or individually provides the services on support visits or smaller projects. *Requires experience in the technical services and support field as well as experience in network administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.). REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 8 yrs. experience in telecommunication networks. (Degree from a four-year college or university with major in computer science, electronics, telecommunications, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years experience in telecommunications networks.) 8 yrs. experience installing networking technologies and supporting networks. 8 yrs. experience supporting enterprise network IT infrastructure design, implementation, operational maintenance & support. Assesses existing network configurations and makes recommendations based on product and industry specifications. 8 yrs. configuring equipment and software to meet business needs, training others on the solution, and documenting the solution for ongoing support. 8 yrs. experience in administration (DHCP, DNS, routers, firewall, etc.). Hands-on experience with IP subnetting, Telnet/SSH Clients, VoIP and MPLS technologies, and Cisco network software (COS/IOS). 8 yrs. experience in technical support and assisting with the design of network solutions. Preferred: Texas State Agency network administrator experience Experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls Proficient with network monitoring & administration tools such as Solar Winds, Splunk, and various Protocol Analyzers and with Microsoft Office suite including Visio. -- Keywords: information technology Texas |
