Role: Data Center Cabling Technician/ Assoc Tech Support Analyst Long Term Work hours (ex. 9am-5pm day/night shifts rotating shifts etc) 10PM-8AM M-TH Location: Elk River, MN- Onsite This will be a back fill of a Full time employee the team the candidate will be working with - how many members There is 7 other team members at this location. The team as a whole is 24 people across 3 sites top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) Device decom power disconnects, Device decom removals, Cabling decom disconnects, Cabling decom removals, Cabling installs, Incident support, Auditing and labeling, Be part of an On Call rotation, support complicated cutovers and assist with power redundancy tests. What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill) High School Diploma/GED Exposure to, or experience with, hands-on data center server room environment activities such as installation and decommission activities. Microsoft Outlook - must be able to manage emails and calendar Microsoft Excel - must be able to do data entry, sort and filter Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted Must be able to work within confined spaces and while standing/kneeling/sitting for extended periods Must be able to travel up to 25% locally Must be able to commit to one week on-call rotation schedule What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart) Registered Unlicensed or PLT status with state of MN (low voltage) 1-3+ years experience performing cable installation and decommission activities within a data center/server room environment 1-3+ years experience performing device installation and decommission activities within a data center/server room environment 1-3+ years experience performing data center/server room environment auditing activities Regards Sumit Katiyar Recruiting Manager Technocraft Solutions LLC.
