Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer Location: Houston, TX - Onsite - Local Duration: 12 months Visa: GC EAD, GC, USC MOI: F2F Client: Enterprise Products The first round interview will be a 30 minute phone call, the second (final) round interview will be an onsite interview that will last about 1-2 hours. Note: The role is a 5 day a week onsite position with worksite in downtown Houston (the manager is not open to relocation candidates at this time). This is a very senior role. They are looking for someone with a minimum of 8 years of experience specifically in devops or build/release engineer positions. The main focus here is going to be experience designing, and designing the process for optimization performance of, CI/CD/CT pipelines. Responsibilities: Collaborate with development and support teams to design and implement deployment, provisioning, and integration workflows, ensuring stable, secure, and optimized environments. Build and maintain tools and solutions associated with deployment and our DevOps platform. Continuously update processes and design new solutions to optimize the performance of our CI/CD pipelines. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop best practices and integrate global security controls into our CI/CD pipelines, effectively managing and reducing security risks. Prepare environments for development, testing, user acceptance, performance, scalability, and reliability analysis, ensuring production-like stability for development and QA teams. Establish best practices for the DevOps Engineer team and document DevOps processes, procedures, and workflows to maintain consistency. Collaborate with internal stakeholders from various organizations in the development and management of incident management and disaster recovery processes. Support monitoring tools for application and infrastructure stability, reliability, and security through automated analysis, problem detection, and alert generation. Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise and work closely with development teams to expedite fixes. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of demonstrated success in a related IT profession, including significant experience in DevOps and release management practices for enterprise teams. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience. Strong experience in applying DevOps and CI/CD concepts, and building CI/CD pipelines using source control tools such as GIT and Azure DevOps/TFS. Proficiency in Docker containerization, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, API Gateway, and Proxy Server. Experience with encryption, SSL/TLS, OpenSSL, key, and secret management. Familiarity with Agile development practices, Scrum/Kanban, or other Agile work decomposition and management methodologies. Proven expertise in planning, implementing, and maintaining deployment processes for large enterprise multi-tier distributed applications, including experience with IIS, messaging systems, and databases. Solid understanding of general IT application and networking concepts, including load balancing, networking, Microsoft Active Directory, messaging middleware, and virtualization technologies like VMWare vSphere. Strong knowledge of SQL Server (or other RDBMS) configuration, administration, backups, and recovery. Experience collaborating and communicating effectively with global teams. Thanks and Regards .
