Job title: SQL Developer with AWS Location: Linthicum, MD / Onsite from Day 1 Duration: Long term Job Description: Design and develop SQL-based solutions to support data-driven applications and services in AWS. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for performance and scalability. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and data analysts, to understand their requirements and provide SQL-based solutions. Collaborate with database administrators (DBAs) to design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexes for efficient data storage and retrieval. Troubleshoot and resolve SQL-related performance issues, database errors, and data integrity problems. Perform data modeling and database design to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules and requirements. Implement and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to move data between different systems and databases. Create and maintain documentation for SQL code, database schemas, and data workflows. Stay up to date with the latest SQL and database technologies, AWS services, and best practices for data management and analytics in the cloud. Collaborate with AWS service teams to provide feedback and contribute to the improvement of SQL-related services and features. Develop, test, and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures to support application development and data management. Create and optimize database schemas, tables, and indexes for efficient data storage and retrieval. Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to understand database requirements and translate them into SQL code. Design, implement, and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration between different systems and databases. Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve SQL performance issues, database errors, and data integrity problems. Write and maintain technical documentation, including data models, database designs, and SQL code documentation. Work closely with database administrators (DBAs) to ensure database security, availability, and performance. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of SQL development best practices and coding standards. Stay up to date with the latest SQL technologies, database management systems, and industry trends to recommend and implement improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making and reporting initiatives.
