Requirements Gathering: Engage with business users to identify their reporting and analytical needs, understand business processes, and translate requirements into SAP BI/BW solutions. 2. Data Modeling: Design and implement SAP BW data models and data flows to ensure efficient and accurate data storage, extraction, and transformation. 3. Data Extraction and Transformation: Create and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP BW tools and technologies to source data from various systems into the data warehouse. 4. Report Development: Develop and enhance SAP BI reports, dashboards, and analytics using SAP BusinessObjects and other relevant tools to deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders. 5. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SAP BI/BW systems to enhance data retrieval and report generation speed. 6. Data Governance: Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance in SAP BI/BW systems by implementing best practices and data quality checks. 7. System Integration: Collaborate with technical teams to integrate SAP BI/BW solutions with other SAP modules and third-party systems as required. 8. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI/BW solutions, data models, and technical specifications. 9. User Training: Conduct training sessions to empower end-users to effectively utilize SAP BI/BW reports and tools. 10. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP BI/BW applications, resolving issues, and ensuring system stability. 11. Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new SAP BI/BW features to propose and implement innovative solutions. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Proven experience as a SAP BI/BW Consultant or a similar role, with hands-on expertise in SAP BW 7.x or higher. - Strong knowledge of SAP BW data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting tools like SAP BusinessObjects. - Proficiency in SAP BW backend development, ABAP programming, and SQL. - Familiarity with SAP HANA and data modeling in HANA is a plus. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify business requirements and propose effective solutions. - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional project teams. - SAP certifications in relevant modules would be advantageous.
