Control-M Administrator Onsite Day 1 - Detroit, MI Contract What are the top 3 skills required for this role 1. Control-M Scheduler 2. Control-M Admin 3. Shell scripting and SQL Automation Required Skills Control-M Batch Operations, Control-M Scheduler Job Description/ Responsibilities A strong profiles who has Control-M administration exposure on key components of the control-m, Installation, migration, Disaster recovery, High Availability, backup, reports, etc. Performs all systems monitoring via scheduler tool for job submission and control of job stream and remediation of abends Set up user security for scheduler tool and configure precisely new users Participate and configure DR exercises and recovery options (restore) and install / configure Fault tolerant High availability systems. Actively involved in Control-M version upgrade and apply fix-pack/patch to fix intermediate issues in Control-M Disaster Recovery Design Architect, Planning Strategy, Document Writer and Implementer/Participator in plan execution Hands-on experience in Control-M self-service and Workload change manager setup and troubleshoot the relevant issue Must be able to analyse business requirements procedures and problems to smooth migration of jobs flows and scheduled systems Expertise in utilizing all Control-M Components: GUI, GCS, CCM, Administrative utility tools, History, Forecast, Reporting Facility, Workload Change Manager, Self Service and Control-M automation API, REST API Create monthly special usage reports and participate in SOX training for internal / external audits Assist team in supporting batch job scheduling primarily utilizing BMC Control- M Software, in addition to performing job scheduling when required for application and database backups. Provide job scheduling and coordination support for functional and development teams including the optimization of batch stream and issue resolution for job failures. Control-M Modules like SAP, DataStage, Application Integrator, Database etc. Monitor and analyse job schedules and consult with appropriate functional, application development, and technical staffs as needed to support job schedule changes or updates. Deep technical knowledge and experience on; the BMC Control-M platform as a whole, all of its core components (EM, CCM, Agents, GUI, etc.), supporting services (Database, OS, etc.), and front-end client usage. Experience with planning, scheduling, and successfully executing on complex Control-M upgrades and changes. Strong knowledge of distributed platforms (Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
